To distinguish between norm and law with regard to sexuality appears to be a major task awaiting clinical theory. To conceptualize this distinction, we must consider how the norm, as an epistemological function, has emerged over the last eighty years, and the various ways it has been read in Canguilhem, Foucault, and Butler.

André Michels is a psychoanalyst practicing in Luxembourg and Paris, and a member of the Après-Coup faculty. He is the co-editor of the Jahrbuch für klinische Psychoanalyse,, editor of Actualité de l’hystérie, and author of numerous articles on psychoanalysis.

Continuing Education
Two (2) CE credits will be granted to Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Psychoanalysts, and Licensed Psychologists who have registered, have documented evidence of attendance of the presentation, and complete the evaluation form. Upon completion of the evaluation form, a Certificate of Completion will be emailed to all participants who comply with these requirements.

Course Fee with 2 CE Credits: $40
There is no fee for CE Credits for Members, AFs, and Yearly Participants of Après-Coup.
