To address the question of “the act of speech” in psychoanalysis, we must return to the terms “act” and “speech” starting from Freud's discovery and Lacan's critical commentary on it.

Jean-Michel Vappereau practices psychoanalysis in Buenos Aires, where he gives a public seminar on psychoanalysis and topology at the association Topologie en Extension; he is a professor in the Psychoanalysis Master's program of the Universidad Kennedy in Argentina, and a faculty member of Après-Coup Psychoanalytic Association. He is the author of the four booklets Essaim, Étoffe, Nœud, and Lu (on the folding Lacan performs of the schema in Freud's letter 52 to Fliess).
