On Childhood and Puberty: Working with Knots

Clinical work with children allows us to establish the distinction between development, history, and the emergence of the subject — a difference that can be approached topologically. Studying the functions of symptoms, this workshop will address different structures and severe disorders, exploring the role of transference in the work with children.

Liliana Donzis is a Member Analyst at the Escuela Freudiana de Buenos Aires, of which she has twice been president, and where she gives an annual seminar on Clinical Practice with Children and Adolescents. She is a founding member of the Zona Sur Psychoanalytic Meetings, has taught in the UBA Psychology Department, and been a clinical supervisor in various public hospitals in and around Buenos Aires. She is a prolific author and co-author of books on general psychoanalytic theory and work with children and adolescents.
