Freud Reading Group  

Mark Stafford and Martin Winn 

We will continue our reading of Freud’s metapsychological papers and theoretical elaborations, paying attention to the significant decisions made when Freud’s concepts were translated into English. We will also read some of Lacan’s commentary on these papers.

Dates: The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 7:45 PM to 9:00 PM. Subsequent dates will be posted on our website. 

Location: Online via Zoom.

Mark Stafford is a psychoanalyst in New York, and a member, and Formation Program alumnus, of Après-Coup Psychoanalytic Association.

Martin Winn practices psychoanalysis in New York. He is a member and faculty member of Après-Coup Psychoanalytic Association. Several of his articles and papers on psychoanalysis have appeared in DIVISION/Review, Charlie Hebdo, and the review essaim: “Contagion, a hystorie,” was published in essaim 48 (2022),”American Way of Life” in essaim 56 (2026).
